Amanda - Counselor
I have lived in Manchester, New Jersey for my whole life. I attend Hornerstown Baptist Church, where my dad has been the pastor for 11 years. This fall, I will be a senior at Appalachian Bible College. I am studying Youth and Family Ministries, with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling.
I was saved at the age of 5 in the living room of my home. One evening at church, there were visiting missionaries who were serving in Tanzania. At a special kids’ program, the speaker taught on the story of the prodigal son. He clearly related the characters in the story to Christ, and how He constantly shows His love and desire to bring all to repentance. All the way home, I thought about what I heard, realized that I was lost, and that I needed a Savior. My dad sat and talked with me about the Gospel, and I accepted Christ as my Savior that night.
I am excited to work at Alpine this summer for the experience. I have worked with kids in my church for several years, but never in a camp setting. I am looking forward to see how God will stretch and grow me this summer in my walk with Him!
