Timothy - Counselor
I am originally from Montevideo, Uruguay. I am currently attending Daniels Missionary Baptist Church. I am a junior at Appalachian Bible College, and I am in the Missions major.
I grew up in a Christian home with parents who were missionaries. There was never really a point where I didn’t understand the Gospel because my parents were constantly telling me about it ever since I was small. One night when I was 6 or 7, after our family devotions, I told my dad that I wanted to be saved. That night I recognized that I was a sinner and that I needed a Savior to save me from my sin. I believed that Jesus loved me so much that He died for my sin and rose again because death did not have power over Him. It was the best decision I ever made! I believe that God wants me to give my life to Him to tell others of Him in full-time ministry.
I wanted to work at Alpine this summer because first of all I think it is an amazing ministry opportunity. I also believe that it can teach and prepare me for future ministry like no other. The thing I am looking forward to most is being able to work together with fellow counselors with the goal of impacting kids’ lives for eternity.
