Bridge Day rafting has all the fun, excitement, and biblical focus of any Alpine New River rafting trip — but with the added bonus of getting to watch BASE jumpers at West Virginia’s largest single-day festival!
Bridge Day is West Virginia’s celebration of the bridge that dramatically improved travel in the New River area. When the 876-foot-tall bridge was completed in 1977, it changed crossing the Gorge from an approximately 40-minute ordeal to a 40-second trip. To celebrate, the bridge closes for one day each year and hosts BASE jumpers, rappellers, vendors, and guests from around the world.
Watch the excitement from your floating, front-row seat on an Alpine raft! As the only licensed Christian rafting outfitter on the river, Alpine’s guides will not only provide you with an incredible trip, but will also help you or your group apply aspects of rafting and God’s creation to your spiritual life.
